Thank you for your investment in small groups.
Below are some resources that may help you as you lead your small group this season.
-
Cultivate a Safe and Authentic Environment:
Make the group a place where members feel safe to be themselves and can share their real lives without fear of judgment or rushing their thoughts. This involves practicing patience with their members and giving everyone time to share their hearts.Encourage Mutual Care and Prayer:
Leaders should model this by genuinely caring for members beyond the meetings and praying for them daily. Encourage members to show care for each other by doing things together, such as sitting together at church or going to dinner, and ministering to one another.Foster Commitment and Trust:
Build a strong group by encouraging consistent attendance and commitment to the group. Trust is crucial for a healthy group; it is built when members believe the best in each other and keep confidence in the group's shared commitments, like prayer and attendance.Facilitate Open and Respectful Discussion:
As a leader, prioritize making space for members to share and learn from each other. You can do this by asking questions that encourage thoughtful, longer answers, rather than just yes or no responses.Promote Humility and a Teachable Spirit:
A know-it-all attitude can stifle a group, so emphasize humility. Leaders should model being friendly with everyone and having a desire to learn, encouraging members to lay aside their egos and come together with a desire to share what God is teaching them.
Overcomers -Overcomer's is a faith-based 12-step group committed to helping people break free from life’s struggles, hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Together, we grow in both sobriety and faith, finding healing and freedom from challenges like alcohol, drugs, gambling, sexual integrity, codependency, anger, depression, anxiety, abuse, mental health concerns, and more
GriefShare - GriefShare is for people grieving the death of a loved one — spouse, parent, child (infant, young child, teen, adult, unborn), friend, sibling, coworker, or other relative.

What is Zoom?
Zoom is a centrally supported video conferencing platform that provides high definition, interactive collaboration tools, and telephone conferencing to use for communication and collaboration.
How do I join a class in Zoom?
You will be notified when classes are available via Zoom.
For classes that will be available via Zoom, you will be sent a link. Copy and paste that link into your web browser or click the link when available. Every week the class meets, you’ll use the same link. A Zoom account isn't required to attend a class session. Anyone can attend a class session using their laptop or desktop (Windows or Mac), tablet, smartphone (iPhone or Android) smartphone. If you haven’t used Zoom before, leave about 5 minutes to set it up before your first use.
If you are planning on using a laptop or desktop, the first time you click on a link it will download a free and secure program to your computer.
If you are planning on using a tablet or smartphone, you’ll want to download the free and secure Zoom application from your application store.
At the most basic level, all you need to use Zoom is a telephone, such as a smartphone or landline. However, if you have access to a computer or mobile device you can use the full capabilities of Zoom.
The following equipment will enhance your experience but is not necessary:
Web camera: A camera will increase your connection with your instructor and your peers by allowing
you to see each other face-to-face. If you do not have access to a web camera, you will still be able to see the instructor.
Headset with a microphone: This will let you hear and be heard more clearly. This does not need to be fancy equipment, it can be the same as the headphones you might use with your phone.
Charger: Charging your device during class will ensure that you do not have an unexpected power
outage interrupting your learning.
Here are the top three challenges of using Zoom, and how you can address them before they happen:
I can’t see: Click here step-by-step instructions for “Testing Your Video”
I can’t hear: Click here for step-by-step instructions for “Testing Your Audio”
There’s background noise or feedback: Click here for “Solutions for Audio Echo”
If you’re still experiencing trouble, Cloverhill Church is here to assist you. You can email us or call us at 804-739-7500. Happy zooming!

Betrayal & Beyond reveals the truth and nature of sexual addiction, and how women are wounded by the addict's behaviors. For women who have suffered betrayal, their healing comes from understanding the role of trauma, establishing healthy boundaries, exploring the depth of forgiveness, and learning to live in restoration. Exercises in this workbook help the participant process trauma.”
You are not alone! Joining a Betrayal & Beyond group will help you safely process the trauma from your spouses sexual addiction. Shame, guilt, anger, confusion- all the emotions we take on are welcome here and processed with other women seeking Gods truth, confidence and self identity.
Next steps towards your healing journey:
1. Send a confidential interest email to Jessica to learn more about the group and the next start date.
2. Find a counselor- email if you would like recommendations.
3. Start a personal journal- this may be very foreign to you but there is freedom that comes when we write thoughts/feelings down and release them from our mind.
4. Order the Betrayal & Beyond workbook and journal
**there is an older (Purple) version of both books, please ensure you order the current (Blue) edition!
5. Join an online group: an online group may not seem ideal, but the leader of this group at CloverHill Church went through an online group herself the first time she completed B&B and can vouch for an online group’s authenticity, confidentiality, and closeness.
